Exobiota

Exobiota is a work-in-progress font with a retrofuturist sensibility. Currently, it includes a bold weight and samples of a stencil companion style in a lighter weight.

I began drawing these designs in a brief online course I took with Zrinka Buljubašić on the principles of designing display type.

A potential application for the typeface might be a corporate logo chiseled on ancient ruins, buried in the sand dunes of a distant planet.
